    That is one of the really nice things about the Steam Deck. It gives companies something to target. And once you have a Steam Deck app, well, you already have a Linux app, might as well release it as such.

    The Steam Machine will do the same thing.

      A using the monopole to do good. Nobody to blame here, they are winning capitalism without burning everything around too much.

        Valve has by no means a monopoly - they have lots of competition. They are just, hands down, the best game distribution platform available, and by a huge margin. People actively choose them over alternatives that do exist.

        Point being: They are not a monopoly that isn’t bad, they have the influence they have because they are pretty darn good at what they do

          No I don’t mean a monopoly like that, a monopoly of service, they do far better so get most of the market. The best is that this is a good feedback loop, since they doned to proton I switched my PC. To linux and bought a steal deck. And I plan to buy the headset. They give they receive. I know that interested but they do good for now.
