I feel more like we’re in a golden age where people can express their stupidity with a larger microphone they were ever given before.

And as much as people complain about the stupidity of people, the population is probably the most literate and productive in human history. We’re just seeing people use a new tool poorly when that use would not have been recorded previously.

Wikipedia has an imperfect process, but it is open to review and you can see how the sausage is made. It isn’t perfect, but the best we have.

How is it legal? The law makes charging a minor as an adult legal.

Windows 10 reset a lot of UI from 8 to 7 that a lot of users wanted. Some changes were added, but the muscle memory learned since 95 could be used with little modification. Windows 11 broke a lot of those workflows without providing anything better on the higher end of usability.

I agree that 10 started adding things that people don’t like about 11, but 11 actively broke things that people liked about 10.

Most artists have agreements with existing agencies and may not have full control over their work. Taylor Swift, in contrast, built a marketing group with the some focus on marketing her. Taylor controls her marketing team entirely, and with that control comes responsibility.

Most Presidential democracies have systems like that; which would include most of the Americas. Hell, France is kind of going through that right now as well.

Even then, government shutdowns didn’t become a thing until the 1980’s.

Except the economics for it are trash. Google uses Android as a loss leader to make money on Google’s services.
