Who’d’ve thunk that not only doing everything your userbase does not want but also actively bullying a large portion of that userbase into leaving wouldn’t create revenue? No, being quirky on main and self-deprecating every once in a while won’t change that.
Edit: this sounds like “bullying people into leaving” and “what the userbase does not want” are two different things. That’s not what I meant. I’m overthinking this. I strongly deny any accusation of ever having pissed on a poor.
I know so very little about all this, I can only take people’s word for anything. ¯\(°_o)/¯
Get right out of town, whaaaaat.
The glue incident was caused because the LLM didn’t understand the Reddit user who was suggesting it was joking.
you don’t say
The German version of that very article says it’s not possible. Now what? w(°o°)w
That’s (probably…?) an urban legend that used to be common knowledge in Germany as well (I remember my dad telling me about the vans). They SAY it’s not possible to detect TV reception like that buuut…
Edit: yet another thing I know far too little about…
They’re allowed to search your phone if it is unlocked. Curiously, that includes first unlocking it by holding it up to your face or using other biometric data of yours. They can NOT force you to give them your PIN or password (edit: or force you to enter them yourself). Act accordingly.
You think it’s plausible that you might in the future use the services of a company called “Dripo”?
I know nothing about Hisense TVs but a very cursory look tells me it’s a Fire TV? There’s a Jellyfin client for those, you just need to sideload it.
One more thought: my Synology NAS (I know…) came with 2 GB of RAM, which was barely enough for Jellyfin, even with nothing else running on it. I added 16 GB and it’s very smooth now, with several services running comfortably concurrently. So maybe don’t go for the smallest amount of RAM.
Fansubs have always been superior.
That sounds absolutely plausible and is thus now incorporated as Truth into my memory of the goings-on.
