I agree that the keyboard has some uses. The folding screen doesn’t really or not nearly as many it’s just novelty cool. I personally don’t have a use case for either so the more technically impressive thing (the folding screen) seems cooler to me. And you have to admit that the first time you saw a folding tablet phone thing it kinda blew ur mind or at least it blew mine.

Stez@sh.itjust.worksto Android@lemdro.id•Google is Killing Open Source Android Apps (Here's Why)English0·15 days agoThe lockdown is not in android itself but in Google services so if the device is on a new enough android version (not very new like marshmallow) the lockdown will apply. If the lockdown were in android itself it would affect(effect? Idk) all roms
Stez@sh.itjust.worksto Android@lemdro.id•Google is Killing Open Source Android Apps (Here's Why)English0·15 days agoThis is only affecting roms that are Google approved and have Google play services installed meaning that going to a custom rom will fix this but also that any device currently supported by GPS will be affected. Therefore even old unsupported devices which are no longer receiving updates from their manufacturer will be locked down without the user’s choice

They are not device specific which is why they are called GSIs (generic system image)
I mean there is no perceivable difference between 120 and 144 so it’s not that big of a deal but I wouldn’t call it a gimmick I would call it limited or locked down.
