Nevermind, she’s sticking with Linux. Tinkering with it actually fixed most of the major issues.

If you want to use Linux, please choose AMD. I helped install CachyOS on my sister’s RTX 5080 system and its horrible. 40% performance loss. She’s going back to Windows.

Insects absolutely do count. The only shellac products I have (that I know of) are some old records from the '40s. Lac bugs are kind of cute so that makes me sad.

Edit: I’m not vegan but I’d like to be once I figure out some personal issues, both financial and dietary.

Why isn’t shellac vegan? Isn’t it just bug shit?

I came across btrfs-clone. I think that’s what it was anyway. The git repo was in archive mode. At this point I think i’m just going to buy a pcie to nvme adapter and call it a day. I managed to free up 400GB on my system drive by erasing old snapshots so I don’t really need the extra space for my system drive. Live and learn I guess. Thank you!

zfs is confusing as hell for noobs like me. I only really recently learned how to use btrfs. Is there any real reason to use zfs over btrfs on Linux anyway?
