I’ve always found it helpful to use the time stone and yell “IOMMU I’ve come to bargain” until it works.

Pass through is always a bastard.
Probably should have read the article hahahah. Thanks.
What is the correct hardware?
You can beat 90% of the fights in all of the final fantasy turn based games just by mashing x.
Like. In emulators if you speed the game up and just set the attack button to rapid fire on one key you can get through almost everything. Including a lot of bosses.
The remake is far more action oriented I agree. But I don’t think any of the games have been particularly strategic excepting a few specific boss fights that require specific things to be done.
I couldn’t disagree more.
The entire time I played them I felt like a child again, experiencing the games for the first Time.
The entire time I felt the amount of passion the creators had for the original and I loved every minute of both of them.
I can’t remember the last time I played again that made me feel like a kid again but these games did.
Makes sense.
Fucking horse shit.
While I’m glad I don’t drive the idea of paying $60,000 for something that does whatever the fuck it wants without my say so makes me frothing mad.
Since it’s in your car can you just use it to do what you want?
Like. I don’t drive. But if I did I’m yanking that SIM card out.
There have to be people hacking these, right?
You took the words right out of my mouth.
Oh.
Not sure. I was speaking in hypotheticals. I’m sure it’s possible though.
There are reports all the time of play store apps containing malware.
Man in the middle an app download or find some kind of exploit to inject the code from a website, ta da.
I mean, obviously there’s more to it than this but.
That’s how these things work. They’re chained.
Something you touched on here that I think is a HUGE issue that fucking no one is doing anything about:
The internet is a necessity. Digital devices are necessities. People commit crimes on digital devices.
There is no one available, even in first world countries with great internet speeds, that you can go to with a problem more sophisticated than “someone took money from my bank account”.
There is no one you can talk to that understands the problem, let alone who can take action to remedy it.
Critical infrastructure is seriously vulnerable and there are multiple layers of the dunning Kruger effect and straight up fucking stupidity you would need to somehow wade through if you were facing any kind of skilled attacker, and you’d need to first identify what the fucking problem is in the first place, at which point what the fuck will they even do?
This isn’t 1996. The lackadaisical attitude towards cybersecurity held by virtually the entire world is a ticking fucking time bomb and it’s only a matter of time until it blows up and fucks over a lot of people in a big way.
If we can’t even keep critical infrastructure safe then what hope does a single person ? It’s fucking insane. Grandma may notice her phone is acting weirdly while her old ass router are being used as a spearhead for a sophisticated attack on the power grid or some shit, and there is zero chance, ZERO, anything could ever be done about it from her end.
She could take her phone to the cell carrier who would just sell her a new one. She could take it to the police who would say she’s probably senile. She could contact the manufacturer who wouldn’t do a fucking thing. She could know enough to know that something fucky was going on but there is NOTHING she could do to stop it.
So this means they’ll take responsibility for malware and offer support, right? Right?
I was dealing with a boot kit exploit a couple years back.
On the great side (for me) Microsoft’s shitty fucking online installation requirements helped prompt me permanently switching to Linux.
On the negative side the issues were still there.
On the positive side I learned about air gapping a pc.
On the native side the issues were still there.
On the negative my self installed deadbolt was a waste of $40 because I forgot my fucking keys in it once and the issue was still there. Also I didn’t install it properly.
On the positive side my new deadbolt evidently works.
On the negative side it cost me $500 in addition to brand new hardware and the cost of a locksmith to install it securely.
On the mixed side I epoxied my windows shut, which was a very elegant solution by my apartment being very easy to break in to.
On the positive side I won’t even touch windows now, and my knowledge of how a pc and operating system works has increased exponentially under Linux and I actually understand a little bit of C, in addition to bash and Python, which is, awesome.
On the positive my home is secure which is awesome.
On the negative side: WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK.
On the mixed side I also no longer order from Amazon. Or order electronics from anywhere.
I’m looking forward to actually seeing how my fucking works and what it’s doing.
There is free wifi fucking SVERYWHERE in Seoul. But I never found it to be all that fast. Same for the internet speeds in the hotels I stayed at.
The Shinkansen has such a smooth ride. It’s like being on a cloud that travels mind bogglingly fast.
What the fuck?
That’s why I don’t click it. But like. I could have. I have the power. Of click.
