I would liken Pixelfed more to Instagram, but otherwise accurate

Yeah it’s basically like Reddit and it’s interoperable with Lemmy and Mbin.
Maybe just imagine them as different ways to view the same content and they each offer their own features.
But essentially they are the Reddit replacement of the fediverse.
