Yes, and stupid people are going to lap it up.

If it’s not federated then it’s not a good thing.

Oh goodie. Useful idiots need scumbags profiting off of their stupidity to get onboard.

Personally, I don’t think I’d want a free TV that perpetually pelts me with ads
Uhh, surely there must be a way to disable this once the TVs are in our hands.

I agree.
It’s fine if people want to get mad about it, but it’s more effective to just learn to live with it because it’s not going away.

We care more about this than we do about school shootings.

Weird Al gets it.

I love how PCSX2 and Duckstation use the exact same UI.
Why make things different just for the sake of being different?

Some of them do. I install them in a windows VM then transfer them over to Linux.
I wish more pirated games were distributed in a portable manner. Saving a few gigabytes with compression is not worth the hassle of installation. It also ends up taking up more space because you need to have the installed version and the uninstalled one. Anyone who deletes the uninstalled version to save space is now no longer seeding.

Sorry that happened to you.
The distro developers should implement a solution so that updating without enough space doesn’t break your system. They could prevent the update or at least warn you that there’s not enough space and bad things can happen.

Sure would be nice if they caught and fixed that before pushing the update and requiring users to do it themselves.

Sorry you had to go through with that.
Point-release distros like to tout stability, but they face all the same problems as rolling-release distros when upgrading between versions.

Just dusted off one of my old Android apps and I completely agree with you.
Android has to be one of the least-competent, hacked-together, yet overengineered pieces of shit on the planet.
It saddens me that people were paid 6 figures to make it. They did not deserve that money and did a horrible job.

I agree, but tightly-coupling when it isn’t necessary is a sign of incompetence.

Cloudflare offers at-cost domain names. There’s a lot of issues with using them though. Since they’re so big, they have a culture of giving governments/oligarchs whatever they want.
There is Njalla, owned by someone involved with The Pirate Bay. It supposedly allows users to buy domain names privately, although I’m not sure at what cost. I’ve read users saying that Njalla will revoke domain names if pressured by outside forces, so they don’t seem like a good option similar to cloudflare.
The DNS is a tool of surveillance and control and we should move away from it as quickly as possible.

Useful idiot detected.

That’s scummy as fuck.
I guarantee they do that on purpose just like all other scams that make you invest your time before telling you you need to pay.

Can’t stop winning.

Federal investigators in Guam believed the devices held evidence that would help prove individuals handling the island’s Covid unemployment assistance program were part of a plot to steal funds.
Damn, they weren’t even doing this to go after pedos.
I’m curious where in the economic ladder this person fell. Rich enough to get a significant amount of money from the system, but still too poor to make the government look the other way.
Welcome aboard.
